SUMMARY:Workshop: How to save your garden from weeds
DESCRIPTION:Have a garden overtaken by weeds and wondering if it can be sav
 ed? Sure it can!Gardeners Kristi Wood and Lauri King will show you how to 
 rebuild a weedy garden without tilling or digging. Tilling and digging bre
 aks up the micro-rhizome layers that microbiology uses to keep our soil he
 althy and resilient. It also brings weed seeds up to the surface where the
 y are almost guaranteed to sprout! Plus it’s extra work and we are lazy!
 \n\nLocation: Chanshtnu Muldoon Community Garden (8100 Debarr Rd)\nTime: 1
 1am to 1pm\n\nWe’ll bring cardboard\, leaves\, and some composted horse 
 manure.\n\nParticipants are encouraged to bring: Lasagna gardening amendme
 nts such as freshly cut grass (without dog poop or lawn chemicals)\, compo
 sted horse manure (11120 Birch Dr is a great source\, just bring buckets a
 nd shovels)\, compost\, food scraps\, spent grain (available from Midnight
  Sun Brewery or Glacier Brewery in the valley)\, used mushroom substrate (
 Far North Fungi at 21625 Old Glenn Hwy\, Chugiak is a good source)\, coffe
 e grounds\, etc.\n\nDress to get dirty too!\n\nTo register\, contact Krist
