Seedy Saturdays bring folks together to share information and swap seeds!
This event sponsored by Anchor Gardens will be held at the Alaska Botanical Garden — outdoors, so dress accordingly! Please bring seeds to share, a pen, little packages to bring your seeds home.
The first 25 kids to ask for a seed planting kit at each event will receive a bag and instructions to take home!
Volunteers needed!
Volunteers are needed to set up and help take down as well. (11am-12pm) and (3pm-4pm). Please contact Theresa Brown at 907-947-8217 to sign up!
Donate Seeds
If you have seeds you’d like to donate before any/all of these events, you can drop them off at Neighborworks, 2515 A St, Anchorage, AK 99503 before February 23rd and they will be distributed.
Guidelines for sharing seeds
Labels:
- Please label all seeds well
- Please be more specific than “little yellow flowers”
- One variety per envelope
Varieties:
- Bring seeds only 3 years old or younger.
- Bring Vegetables and Flowers
- No invasives please
