Event Type

Let’s celebrate and feast on our gardens’ harvest gifts! Please come join in our 2nd Picnic Tour event for 2023. Build and expand your own Alaskan fresh-from-the-garden recipe trove!

This is a garden tour sharing garden wisdom and a potluck sharing our garden dishes and the recipe. Please bring a dish made from your garden (at least 2 garden ingredients) and the recipe on a 3×5. What can we share about how to create yummy dishes with our produce? Prepare to have your senses delighted! And have fun visiting!

Thank you, Elena, for sharing your very productive city lot garden in South Turnagain for the Picnic Tour. There is much to explore in Elena’s garden: many fruit trees and berry bushes, a greenhouse, extensive vegetable plots, chickens & chicks, meat rabbits & baby bunnies, and bee hives. The address is 3935 Balchen Drive off Wisconsin.

If you don’t have time to prepare a dish to share, don’t stay home! Instead, please bring a freshly picked flower bouquet, wildflowers, weeds, vegetable leaves. Have fun and let your creativity flow!

Also, please bring your own plate, cup, utensils, napkin, and chair or picnic blanket.

To protect baby chicks, no dogs are invited.

Please join us! PM me with any questions! Elisabeth Holmgren, joyousbody@gmail.com
Can’t wait to get together and share!
