A Conversation that Matters: Increasing Food Security in the Muni

When

01/16/22
1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Let’s brainstorm more ways in which we can we better ensure food security for each of our community council areas in Anchorage.

This will truly be a conversation that matters for the Anchor Gardens Community as we help address the food insecurity problems in Anchorage in 2022. Using a modified World Cafe format, we will converse in small groups so that we can uncover new ways of being food secure, but also so we can build stronger relationships across our town.

We will meet in small groups for three 20-25 minute rounds, changing groups for each question and will meet as a whole group at the end to see what ideas emerged from our conversations. Please be on time and plan to stay for the entire 2 hour session.

It is also a tea party with coloring. Bring a pot of tea (or coffee) to sip as we engage with the topic, as well as plenty of blank drawing paper and as many colors/pens/paint brushes as you can find. Making your knowledge visible is extremely helpful to this process. You will get more instructions when you arrive, but we want you to be ready.

As soon as you have a ticket, you will be given a link to the zoom. Note: this event is only open for Anchor Gardeners. If someone wants to join, click here!

Can’t wait to see you there,

The Anchor Gardens Team
