Now that you’ve harvested your summer garden, it’s time to preserve that bounty for long-term enjoyment. Join Anchor Gardens Instructors Koala Vandruff and Ray Camissa to learn how the canning process works. Learn through informative presentation and hands-on demonstration how to preserve food safely and efficiently, start to finish. Sign up for the Tool Library at Seed Lab to check out the pressure cooker to take home. Materials provided, but participants are encouraged to bring produce they’d like to learn to preserve. Materials fee of $10. Made possible thanks to a grant from Anchorage Soil and Water Conservation District.
