More topsoil is available! The quantity of topsoil allowed to take will be approximately two to three 55-gallon trash cans worth. I ST Community Garden is the only location with material available now.
This was our biggest year ever in terms of moving tons of waste resources for gardening:) We moved more material this year than in year 1 & 2 combined!! This translates into more local food being grown in Anchorage.
Our goal is to make these resources available to everyone regardless of income.

Donations are not mandatory but any donation received will be used to further our mission of building food security one garden at a time.
Volunteering for Anchor Garden is another great way to give back!
You are welcome to join our volunteer work party at I ST Community Garden Sunday, June 26th 3-5pm. Come help in the garden, stockpiles, composting, and/or watering and take home some topsoil, manure, mushroom substrate, free seeds or seedlings:)
DOWNTOWN STOCKPILE:
- I St Theresa or Rachel: Tues 5-7pm, Wed & Thurs. 12-2pm, Sun 3-5pm
- Resources include: topsoil, composted horse manure, 8 mo. old horse manure, 8 mo old chicken/goat/turkey manure, fresh mushroom substrate, free seeds, recycled trays/pots and an old grow light system.
